Hi everyone
Looking for tried and tested suggestions to enhance the flavours. I just blitzed half a banana in a chocolate shake with Nutella, full fat milk and cream for my husband.
He had replacement stent fitted last week after the last disappeared.
Many thanks and best wishes to all x
Hi Jeanie, yes it’s a minefield. My husband was diagnosed in May. he has been adding cream to soup too. Has eaten shepherds pie this week. It’s a start and build up slowly. Coke used to push somethings that were stuck but he finds it too painful. Coffee seems to work better. He has been adding honey and cream to Readybrek. Word of warning if you buy a nutribullet don’t put the blades in a dishwasher …. Please share any suggestions x
Hi Jubsyp
I have a few suggestions if this is helpful. My mum has fortisip- they are roughly 300 kcal/ drink so if ensure is more feel free to ignore this all. She gets the mocha flavour of fortisip and she prefers it more strongly to be coffee flavoured so we add more coffee and make a basically iced latte. She also gets the juice version as she doesn’t like milk flavoured things or creamy stuff. They’re really sweet like squash. There’s orange/ tropical flavoured ones which are okay, and you can add normal OJ to them which makes them less sweet and more juice. I also reckon they’d be a decent base to smoothies but we’ve not tried them.
Hi Jeanie hope all is going well. Made another version today.. Banana powder shake, full fat milk, teaspoon Nutella, whizzed and cream added.
Also slow cooked a corn beef stew with carrots, swede, parsnip, leek also cut up into small pieces, was good to see him eat , slowly but surely x
