I have my endoscopy on 31 August following a fast track referral by my GP. I've had 2 of them in the past, one 4 years ago and another about 8/9 years ago, as I've had a variety of gastrointestinal issues. I didn't have sedation on either occasion, just the spray which was a bit unpleasant. I'd much prefer the sedation, as both my throat and upper easophagus already feel a bit uncomfortable. However, I'm not in a position to have the support of anyone for the requisite 24 hours post procedure as the 2 obvious people are on holiday. Just wondered how the endoscopy experience had been for people on this group.
