Hi I had my first chemotherapy 2 weeks ago and on tablets at home the first week i had problems seeing things close it hadn't got any better so I got an appointment with my optician this morning and he confirmed that my close vision has been affected but my fat away vision has not. Has anybody else had this too.
Thanks
Mandy
Hi Mandy , I am just dropping in past as your post caugh my notice.
I have a completely different type of cancer but over my years of treatment I have had over 750hrs of chemo. I can testify to my vision being effected in many was to the point I had to stop driving for a period of time “Yes Mike, this can happen but once you are out the other end things will improve” was what I was told by my team.
Due to the types of treatments I had including Radiotherapy to my face I was told not to get my eyes tested for a year post my treatment. I went and had them tested and my prescription had actually returned to the same test results 3 years before my main treatment started - all very confusing but I am now over 4 years on and no eye problems ((hugs))
