Re end of life care

I am sorry to hear your news. It is a difficult thing knowing that losing your partner means that they are not suffering anymore but you would give anything for extra time with them. There will be days when you feel totally overwhelmed and days when you realise how strong and resilient you are. Hold on to the thought that Steve would be proud of you, whatever you achieve that day which can be as simple as getting up and into the shower or dealing with grief.

My heart goes out to you Cathy. I too lost my wonderful husband to this dreadful disease. It was both a honour and a privilege to look after him and to be beside him when he passed away 6 months ago.

I miss him every minute of everyday which is what you will do. I cry everyday wishing “If I could just have one more minute with him”. You will go through loads of different emotions and question everything… but know this, you will love him and continue to love him until you can no more, you will find the strength within you to carry on when some days are just unbearable and you will continue to live your life because you know that is what your husband would have wanted.

Carpe Diem… I live in the moment because I have realised that tomorrow is not promised.

Hi Cathy I am so sorry , this is such a cruel illness...I hope you have support around you, its so painful to watch your loved one suffer and decline, im still going through this with my husband and the pain is unbearable at times...i hope you can find some peace and time for yourself and hold onto those beautiful memories stored deep in your heart️, thinking of you xx
