My 69 year old husband was as diagnosed with a recurrence of his GB August this year. Original diagnosis was in May 2021, so he has done well with treatment.

I have not been in a good place, so I do think this Forum will help me.

  • Glad you found us and I hope the forum does help you feel a little less alone with this.

It does sound like he's done relatively well. May I ask what his treatment has been to date?

Are they trying more chemo now against the recurrence?

  • Craniotomy, Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy together. Then another course of Chemotherapy. Regular 6 monthly scans. I think his type of Glioblastoma responds better to chemo.
He is having chemo every 4 weeks. His latest scan showed a slight reduction in tumour , but he is still deteriorating. Thank you for your message.
