It's my 48th Wedding Anniversary today. I am feeling very sad and lonely. My lovely husband, who has been my soul mate since the day I met him. is declining day by day. He was diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma at the end of April and is now on palliative care only. He sleeps for most of the day, he can only walk a few steps, his swallowing reflex is declining rapidly, he is in a lot of pain mainly due to nasty pressure sores, he cannot now get to the toilet in time to do a wee so he has lots of accidents and he gets very confused. He did however smile at me and wish me a happy anniversary when I reminded him what day it is.
Happy anniversary to you both. As Sulubee says, treasure that smile.
love n hugs
Wee Me xx
