So in September as giving my new manager my bank details at my hour into a new job... I collapsed with a massive seizure, never had one before I was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma, I've had 98% of this retched tumor removed but obviously they come back
I've had radiotherapy and chemotherapy and due back for second stage chemotherapy after Christmas which is going to be a little strange but hey ho maybe we should all celebrate Christmas everyday
Coming to term's with this is slow sinking in now and for my lovely wife also it's to keep plodding on and talk and slowly enjoy what's left to make memories but also ridiculously hard .
I'll keep talking to my wife taking out my dog eating ice-cream and treating each day like Christmas! Happy Christmas everyone enjoy!! x
Hi Lec
so pleased they were able to operate and offer treatment. Some people on here seem to do remarkably well with the treatment offered and I am sure you will enjoy Christmases to come. Sadly my husband was not so lucky. He too got diagnosed in September but the tumour was inoperable and because his symptoms progressed rapidly he was only offered palliative care. The family were all with him yesterday in the hospice but he did not know too much about it. Not the Christmas we had hoped for but as my two children said, they have so many happy memories of Christmases we have shared. Stay positive and strong and good luck with your journey.
