Hey lovely people!
hope you’re all coping as well as possible.
We are ok, husband doing relatively ok, in the middle of the 6 weeks intense radio & chemo…
I’m dreaming of a holiday with the kids and him before he is too poorly. He is totally up for it but I’m just confused by insurances? Have you found any good insurance policies that would cover European travel whilst ongoing treatment - he is scheduled to go on the 5/23 TMZ shortly. Anything I find is £3000+ and obviously way out of our budget.
Would love to make some memories ️
thank you for your help ️
Hi Bella44
I'm not a member of this group, but your subject of 'travel insurance' caught my eye.
Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis so can I recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group where you'll find recommendations from others who have been successful. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'Recommended Travel Insurance' as this is where the majority of recommendations are.
Lots of people have found it better to phone the insurance companies rather than try and do online quotes as often at the end of the online quote it will tell you to phone the company and you'll then have to go through all the information again. Also, sometimes the broker can refer to the underwriters to see if they would provide cover when an online quote might just give you a straight refusal.

Hi! Ah, amazing, huge thanks for your help! All the best Nella
Hi Bella44
glad to hear your husband is coping well. We used All Clear Travel to ger insurance for my husband twice last year. Both were short trips to France (skiing then a few days in Paris) and it worked out about £400 each trip. They do go through some quite direct questions when you call but I had no issue getting it set up. I have separate cover for myself as one of the benefits of my bank account so that covered me and our luggage.
Hope you manage to find something and great a break. We had a fabulous few days in Paris last April.
Love n hugs
Wee Me xx

I totally understand your concerns about travel insurance, especially with your partner's condition. It can be frustrating when the costs are so high. I'm new here too, so no worries about wording! When it comes to getting quotes, calling the insurance companies directly can sometimes lead to better options. Online quotes can be tricky and may not give you the full picture. I know this after I planned my trip to France. By the way, I recently came across some interesting tours to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris while browsing online. It's a must-visit spot with amazing views. I love traveling and discovering cool places like that.
