Hi All,
I’ve jumped from one of the lymphoma groups as my dad now has advanced stage 4 gall bladder cancer, having survived and beating lymphoma in 2019.
My question is, has anybody or their loved one received any immunotherapy for their cancer? We’re currently awaiting the outcome of the MDT at the Royal Marsden and I’m desperately seeking for hope in other people’s journey.
Thank you, I really hope I get a response from here.
Hi Stars84
I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
I did do a search of the group looking for previous posts which mention receiving immunotherapy but drew a blank I'm afraid. That doesn't of course mean that nobody here has had immunotherapy, they may just not have posted about it.
Also if you search on the specific type of immunotherapy that's being proposed for your dad, you may then find posts.
While your waiting for replies it would be great if you could pop something about your dad's diagnosis and tereatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi, I also have no experience of immunotherapy for gall bladder cancer. I wanted to reply as I know what it’s like to support a parent in this way. Have you booked an appointment with a nurse at MacMillan? I found it really useful to talk things through.
id also ask to speak to your dad’s consultant as most are understanding and willing to talk to family.
sorry for offering no useful insights but I send good wishes to you and your dad.
