I am a new patient and having first day in hospital. A lot of confusion and curiosity to know more about this treatment.
Hi Jim2023 and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am sorry to see you joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have Follicular Lymphoma (FL) but I was also diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with another type of incurable but treatable Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma….. although my type of NHL is very rare…… eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
FL is the most common type of Low Grade (slow growing) NHL so there are lots of treatment options when required.
Sorry to hear that you are in hospital but at times this is how it is…… what are you being told about a way forward for your treatment - as I said there are various treatments available so your clinical team will select the best treatment to fit in with how your FL us presenting.
Jim, I am always around to chat and to help out and answer questions as best as I can.
