Hi all ,

So ive had my results from scan and i have lumps pretty much everywhere.

Hospital have offered me radio therapy on 1 in my neck as its a problem .

And antibody therapy to help reduce the size of the lumps and keep chemo for later on if i need it.

Any views ??

Stage 3 by the way .

Thanks

Rich.

  • Hi Rich , sounds like a plan to me. I always went with my team as they were two steps ahead of the game at all times....... and as I was not an expert so had to trust them.

Did they confirm the name of the antibody therapy?

    Hi Rich

Not sure what advice can be given, hopefully your medical team are good and on the problems you have, I have complete faith in my team and always take there advice like you I was stage 3 but only an enlarged spleen not lumps or bumps visible other than the spleen my tumours were in my stomach and chest and I was put on chemo 6 sessions of R-Chop which I have finished and am awaiting the post chemo  scan results which I get next Tuesday 4th June

My advice would be trust your team

  • Hi, if they are going down the none chemo route at this stage ask about R squared - rituximab plus lenalidomide (Revlimid) as its proven to be effective and a few studies have been undertaken to compare it against other treatment options, this link takes you to one done in Switzerland comparing R with R squared  and on the right side of the page is links to other studies - certainly worth discussing and seeing if its an option.
