I'm currently undergoing a stem cell transplant and had my harvest last week with engraftment to follow I'm due to have an eye test on Thursday will it make any difference if I don't I would have thought my eyesight won't change afterwards?
Hi John JohnT2 I found my eyesight actually changed significantly during my salvage treatment and my 2 Allograft (donor) SCTs…… to a point I had to stop driving for a period of time as I was not legal to drive…… as eye tests in Scotland are free I did get a test done between my 2 Allo SCTs and there had been changes…… but my optician advised me not to get new glasses as he had experience of others who had similar treatment and once through SCT and a few months out from SCT the prescription goes back to the same as pre treatment…… I had an eye test a few months after my SCT and he was right….. my prescription went back to the pre treatment prescription
Thanks I get them free as well so I may just go and keep my old Specs just in case it changes then goes back again
