Hi there I am new to all this so apologies for my weird way of writing.
The reason I am writing is to find out what's the best way for diagnosis a lymphoma non H. Could it be with a CT scan or what would be the specific blood test I should ask from my GP??
My symptoms are tiredness, nausea, night sweats a few times and not able to cope with plain activities.
CT scan done already pelvis and chest non shown anything apart from a benigh adenoma on right adrenal gland. Significant loss of weight though due to a continuous feeling of swelling in my abdomen. Could an abdomen ultrasound scan shown more than a CT scan?
Please advise
Hi at and welcome to our corner of the site but sorry to hear your concerns.
The main diagnostic tools for Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, actually any of the 60 types of Lymphoma is CT or PET scans (far better than an ultrasound) that would show any presentation areas then a core biopsy. If you have Lymphoma these pathology results will say what of the 60 types of Lymphoma you would have.
Blood tests can suggest that there may be something not just right with you but can’t diagnose Lymphoma. I have been on my NHL journey for 22 years and never once did a blood test pint to NHL all I had was a small rash.
Have a look at the link below about Lymphoma diagnosis from Lymphoma Action, a small UK Lymphoma Specific Charity.

Happy to talk more.
My dear Highlander. Thank you for getting back to me I had a CT scan chest pelvis and abdominal shown not any malignancy however my symptoms are exactly symptoms of a lymphoma situation described oninks. I also have noticed an internal build up pressure on my right hand side combining with marks on my body when I go into the warm water and shower that then go way is like pale bruising ,chills
d and sometimes sweats during the night. What all these symptoms could be if not shown any malignancy on my very recent CT scan?? I am quite preoccupied and seeking for help to go of this tunnel. Hope that everything goes
Well for you and happy yo have this chat.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Hi again
It must be very worrying not having answers especially when some of the symptoms you are experiencing line up with Lymphoma symptoms. But it’s important to remember that these symptoms can also point to many other health conditions as well but as I am not in any way medically trained you need to keep working with your GP to navigate through the complications of diagnosing what is going on in your body.
Keep pushing for answers.
