Hello. I'm new to this support forum. I completed my chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment just over a year ago and am having 3 monthly check ups.

I was initially diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Then after 2 cycles of chemo,  a PET scan revealed the large lump in my armpit was Non Hodgkin's Diffuse large B cell Lymphoma. That took the Consultant by surprise and meant the chemotherapy had to be changed to attack both types of Lymphoma.

I was just wondering if anybody else has been in a similar position. I've been told it is quite rare/unusual to get 2 types of Lymphoma.

  • Hi again , just to add what I put in your post in the New to Community post…… I have been on my NHL journey for over 22 years now and have indeed talked with others who have experienced the same as you but mostly changing from low grade to high grade NHL but a few from HL to NHL.

Lets see if you find others looking in with first hand experiences.
