Hi
I have a question regarding mosquitoes and being in remission.
My husband has been in remission from HCL for the past 10 months. All his recent blood counts are very good.
We're planning a trip to Italy in autumn next year, to an area where there are mosquitoes. Whether it would improve by autumn, I don't know.
My question is, would my husband have a greater risk of becoming ill if he's bitten?
Thanks in advance.
I've managed to find a section on travel on this website, and it's answered my question re mosquitoes. Need to check with hubby's consultant for advice.
Yes check this with his consultant.
I had some challenges with bad reactions to Midgie bits ( I live in the Highlands of Scotland) in the first few years after my Stem Cell Transplant.
