I just read a snippet of someone diagnosed with CLL..
OF COURSE you are worried, confused and looking for quick answers.
I'm sorry there aren't any but every year as time goes by the worlds scientific brains are looking to find the answers you are looking for. One day they will find them and in the meantime we "watch & wait".
I was diagnosed in 1990 something. Hey folks I'm still alive and kicking at nearly 86 . I've become one of a smaller number of pre- war babies still around.
Watch&Wait takes a bit off living with so I decided to as far as possible ignore it. I can't change it I know it's there as far as possible I just ignore it, although lately it's being to have an effect. Symttoms are now beginning to show sometimes but I've had over twenty years without taking too much notice.
So my advice is keep an eye on the advances being made. Then keep an eye on NHS provisions to see what is available in your trust's area. If you spot a cure please let us all know. But in the meantime don't let it spoil your life.
Watch & Wait is not so bad once you know it can go on for years. So don't let it affect your life, enjoy yourselves while you can. Spend your money as you have always intended there are no pockets in shrowds.

Only Edward when I was naughty
Hi again Ted 200639James I got Michael when my mum was getting in trouble.
It’s been a while since you have posted but good to see you are still on Active Monitoring…… this is the rhythm of these slow growing Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma type blood cancers.
I say Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma as in the world of Haematology CLL, SLL and HCL come u see the same umbrella.
Lets look for your CLL to keep sleeping for a long time to come
Lovely, positive, encouraging post….thank you James
And thanks to Ted (unless he’s been naughty today Edward!) xxx
No today is a good day so from Ted Hi, I hope you are also "well today". Long may it continue for you.
I had unfortunate news yesterday from the Orthopedic Surgeon at the hospital. The stenosis in my spine which was responsible for two operations in the past has returned. Unfortunately again due to my heart attack and damage to my heart.in the past they cannot carry out another operation. So the decision is to step up the pain control.
So I'll just.add this to the other medical issues, put them in a big box and gett on with my life.
I am alive and looking out over the sea at Whitley Bay. The lighthouse at St. Marys stands out white after it's re furnished and all is as well as can be expected.
May your God look down on you and smile.
Ted
