My partner was diagnosed with CML in 2017 and has been in major molecular remission since January 2020., tests in January also for tyrosine kinase domain mutation were also negative. However during a low white cell count in April 2020 and due to COVID19 was put on GCSF injections. In May 2020 blood test result showed circulating blast cells and increase of BCRABL to 21%, bone marrow test shows over 40% blast cells. The consultant did say that this may be artificially high due to supportive GCSF .She is now currently in hospital receiving intensive chemo with FLAG IDA. I am really worried that this maybe a mis diagnosis and has been caused by the the GCSF injections
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm very sorry to hear how worried you are that your partner may have been misdiagnosed. I'm afraid I don't know anything about CML so can't help with any experience with this cancer.
Does your partner know about your worry and, if so, has she discussed this with her CNS?
Sending a supportive ((hug))
