Appetite

Hi all, just a question about something  that’s been bothering me, in the last few months but more so in the last 4 weeks I’ve had such a decrease in my appetite. I’ve little desire to eat and when I do, I feel full and nauseous afterwards. For context, I’m almost 5 years post diagnosis and have taken niltotinib since with some success. I just worry that this is something that’s reminding me of what I was like pre diagnosis and don’t know if I should panic. I attend regular appointments so would assume they’d say if an issue had arisen? Thank you

  • Hi Musicclar91 and welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I keep an eye on our various Blood Cancer groups.

I don’t have Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML)  but I have been on my journey since 1999 when at 43 I was diagnosed with my first rare, incurable T-Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma……. eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 when a second, also rare aggressive type of T-Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma was then presenting so although my Blood Cancer ‘type’ is different I most definitely appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.

The only people who can answer your question is your clinical team……. Over my many years I have been investigated for ‘things’ that were very similar to Lymphoma symptoms and turned out not to be the case….. do talk with your medical professionals

Let’s look for group members to pick up on your post and get back to you.

For good information do check out Leukaemia Care UK who produce very good information and run various support platforms including their Buddy Scheme, they also have a Support Line on 08088 010 444

Always around to help more or just to chat.
