Hello

My husband and I received the devastating news last weekend that our 8 month old son has a neuroblastoma. We are in pieces and struggling to live day by day.

Our son is going through numerous tests to determine the stage but it's agonisingly slow.

It would be really supportive to hear from families who've also been through this? How do you cope? Stay positive?

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I have not been in your position so I cannot begin to understand how difficult this must be for you and your husband. However, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet and that you are hoping to connect with other parents who have children with cancer. I hope you don't mind me recommending that you join the parents of children with cancer group as you should then connect directly with others who will understand what you are going through.

If this is something that you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you feel ready, it would be great if you could pop something about your son's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
