Hi Willscj1985 and welcome to our group.
I’m sorry to read you have had a cervical cancer diagnosis-it’s a horrible shock, isn’t it?
It’s a very scary time when you have the diagnosis but might not be sure what’s next, but you’ve come to the right place because we’ll all identify with how you’re feeling today. It takes time to get your head round it, but things do get better when you know more.
What are the next steps for you-scans, I presume? Keep in touch and let us know what’s going on and we’ll do our best to help support you through. We have experience in the group of all stages of this cancer and treatment/surgery, so there will always be someone who can help, and please ask any questions as you think of them.

Hi DebsyW and welcome to the group-I see this is the first time you’ve posted here.
Have you also had a cervical cancer diagnosis? You may want to join the group if you want to make any of your own posts-you can reply to posts without being a member but cannot start your own thread unless you join the group.
I hope you’ll feel able to share a little more about what’s brought you here and let us know if you need any help.

Stage1 I think it had a name I kinda of blanked out :( having a mri scan soon I had a lletz two weeks ago and a big part of my cervix was taken today they did a internal couldn’t feel anything else
Hi thank you for replying it is a scary place to be in when you just have it told you yes a mri scan to decide hysterectomy or more invasive treatment x
Thanks for letting us know-yes, the mri will show where the cancer is located and the size before a decision can be made on whether surgery is possible.
If you haven’t had an mri before, just to let you know it is very noisy! I am claustrophobic, although your head does remain outside the scanner, so I’ve requested an eye mask every time I’ve had one.
There is a wait for the results but hopefully you’ll be able to have a hysterectomy rather than chemoradiation treatment.
