Hi guys ,
so I missed a call yesterday while I was at work from the Anchor unit , but got a call this morning asking me to go to the Anchor unit to start my first session of chemo, wasn’t expecting it to to be that quick, any way , I had my Paciltaxel and carboplatin via cannula in my hand , I must say I wasn’t feeling any bad effects from the drugs going in just felt the saline going in. I also got a heat pack on my hand for the blood vessels and warm my hand up. It was a good start to session so will be less nervous next week . Then I had a call from pet-scan to reschedule my scan but because I’ve started chem they can’t do the scan now . The staff in day ward were so lovely, and my eldest daughter sent me a pic of what was on her stairwell when she returned home after drone off and it was a red robin I thought it a good omen.
Hi Hope68
Always good to get your first session done, and you’ll know what to expect for next time. Hope things continue to go smoothly for you.
Sarah xx
