I went for my usual post treatment MRI scan following Stage 2B cc and all is still looking clear but unfortunately there was a new signal in the sacrum, possibly a insufficiency fracture. I have been in pain for some time and certainly strenuous activity makes it worse.
I was sent for a Pet CT scan to check for metastatic disease. I've been so worried that cancer had come back and it's been so hard not to keep putting on my family with my fears, especially this time of year. But I received the best news of all that there is no cancer spread and it is indeed a pelvic insufficiency fracture. I feel like a weight has been lifted.
I just wanted to tell my story to give hope to anyone else who maybe facing something similar. I've been cancer free for 18 months now and long may that continue.
Hi @Rabbit
Thank you for sharing your good news! It’s not pleasant having an insufficiency fracture but it’s something that will heal in time and much better than a cancer recurrence! You can get on with your life now and enjoy getting ready for Christmas.
