Hello.new to the group .my wife has just been diagnosed with cervical cancer but not started treatment yet.she also has bilateral nephrostomies which is hard going.she is scared about the long road ahead.
So hopefully as time goes on I can gain support and advice from the group.
Thank you
Hi Peleton, welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here.
I am not surprised that your wife is anxious about what is to come. The fear of the unknown will be very stressful for you both. Although I do not have the same cancer as your wife, there will be many people here who will be happy to share their experience with treatment with you.
You can also get support on the Macmillan community and share your thoughts with other people who are in a similar situation to yourself. It is important that you look after yourself whilst taking care of your wife. There are 2 other support groups you can join, which are both a safe place to go and share your experience with others.
You will find several people there who are going through a similar situation to yourself. You can also call the Macmillan support helpline for support 7 days a week from 8am til 8pm on 0808 808 00 00
Take care
