Hello all,
I had cervical cancer nearly 7 years along with all of the treatments. I have a colostomy, urostomy and a fistula which leaks constantly. I have been given the all clear and discharged from the cancer hospital, yay! and thank you.
Over the last couple of days there has been blood on my pad which I use for the fistula.
I will be contacting the gynae department tomorrow. I am very worried. I have had the odd spot of blood because of the fistula. It isn’t very heavy but its there.
I was wondering if anyone has had this? And what did it turn out to be?
I had a CT scan in February and another one in April for a bowel obstruction and both scans didn't show anything "ominous". Only showed scar tissue. Plus the CT department wrote in the notes for April "patient has a lot of adhesions and this is pelvic radiation disease rather than a reoccurrence". Which is a relief. Plus the colorectal consultant told me last week that my bloods were "abnormally good!", for which I thanked him .
Sending you all love and good vibes
Hi LisaCardiff and welcome to the Online Community. I've a different type of cancer to you but I see you've joined the right group to get support and ask questions, hopefully someone will be along to reply very soon.
Anything out of the "norm" sets alarm bells ringing so hopefully you can get some answers from your Gynae department today. You could also Ask a Nurse here on the forum (just click on the link). You might need to wait a couple of days for a reply.
Sending you good wishes, B x

Hello MrsBJH,
Thank you for your reply and I have just asked the nurse on the link you provided.
I am still summoning the courage to phone the gynae department. I have PTSD and I get so scared.
Thank you for your kindness.
Love and good vibes,
Lisa
