Hi I have just finished 5 weeks of Chemo and Radiotherapy and I am due to have Brachytherapy in hospital tomorrow and then again next week. I am quite nervous about it does anyone have any advice or tell me how they felt post treatment. I feel so tired at the moment. x

  • I don’t know how to do a new post! I’m due my last MRI in October but I’m scared incase it’s something I can’t do all that again I’m terrified incase it’s back xx

  • My apologies  I should have given you some help with this.

if you’d like to start by introducing yourself to the group, click on the “new here, say hello” section at the top left of the page. This will open up a new page and if you go to the top right there is a button called “create new post”. Click there and you can start a new post by completing what you want to say/ask in the large free text box.

When you are finished typing, look for the green button at the bottom saying “post” and click that and your post will be published in the group. Others can then reply to you by clicking the “reply” button.

I understand your fear, as my cancer did recur after my treatment had ended. Hopefully yours will not, but if it did, the treatment would not be the same again as you cannot have radiotherapy twice in the same area, and brachytherapy is also not repeated again.

IF your cancer comes back, it is better to know as soon as possible so a plan can be put in place for treatment, but many ladies in the group have successfully come through their treatment and not had a recurrence.

    Sarah xx
