End of the week and I'm full on exhausted.. also (as Julie described) the "radio runnies" I'm emotionally drained of all energy. Hopefully the weekend break helps. Just needed to out that out there to try deal with it.. thanks xx

  • Sounds like a good plan-weather is miserable here. Keep yourself cosy! xx

  • It doesn’t always feel like it but: you got this Muscle tone2

also just to say, cus I didn’t realise until I looked a nurse in the eyes and said “heeelp!” That that big tube of lotion that they give you (the one that smells like hospital) can go on your butthole. I highly recommend starting that asap to avoid a sore bum becoming a problem See no evil

  • Is that the big bottle with the pump dispenser?? Begins with “d” I think but I can’t remember. Wonderful stuff-I used it everywhere!

Diprobase!!!!! Just googled it! Joy xx

  • Hi Angela, so glad to hear that you're feeling a little better.  I've had a bit of a rough weekend to be honest, queasy and as for the Radio Runsies....Let's just say I'm rather sore!!  Just glad I got this far before it all started.  Just one Chemo and 7 Radio to go!!  Well apart from the Brachy.....Rolling eyesConfusedBlush....You will hopefully not suffer as much on week 2 as you did on week 1. Sending you strength and positive vibes for the coming week.  xxx

  • Hi Julie and Sarah and gang Slight smile wee update! So ws still throwing up on Tue morning right in the consultants room just b4 chemo! She was horrified that I spent almost 5 days feeling like this and ddnt ask for help! So she's tweeked my meds and got extra steroids in my needle site. Different extra strong antisickness pills to take every day( rather than the 1s u get for 2 days only, then the "as required 1s) . Pills to make me poo when I'm constipated and 1s to make me stop when the runnies begin!! So went home with 6 boxes meds in total..but....it's Thursday I'm feeling a lot closer to normal than this time last week! And this coming tue is exactly half way thru treatment plan!! Thanks for all your replies and helpful suggestions. And good luck to us all..

    Angela xx

  • HI Angela

You poor thing! Let this be a lesson to tell them everything so they can help you out. They always have something 5hey can give you , but glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better today.

Julie is very close to the end already, and you’re nearly half way through. The two of you are amazing and doing so well getting through this. Keep going and it will soon be done. xx

  • Hi Angela, so glad you have some good meds now and yes the balancing act between constipation (after Chemo for me for 2 days) and then runsies from Radiotherapy - It's like walking a tightrope!!  And halfway through I found was a milestone.  Seems to go quicker from there on.  The end is always getting nearer.  Hope this weekend is much kinder to you than the last one.  I haven't actually been sick but have been very nauseous after Chemo for around three days just before the runsies start again!!  I have posted my brachytherapy experience in a separate thread and hope that you will find this helpful.  I can honestly say it was painless but I panicked a little at first when I couldn't feel my legs!!  I was so so impressed with the team around me, such professionalism but so genuinely human and caring.  Keep up the good work, you are doing so well xxx

  • Oh how can I find your post on the brachy experience Julie? Realy want to read it xx
