So my recent CT scan reads -
Stable 3mm, 4mm & 5mm nodules in the right upper lobe (Images 98 & 100 of 319), subpleural 10mm nodule in the apex of the right Lower Lobe image 96)
No new pulmonary nodule.
- A subpleural 10mm nodule has never been mentioned before and never been picked up on any of my other scans. After the chemo cocktail I was told I have a few remaining nodules in my right lung which are and continue to be stable.
had anyone experienced this? I understand cancer can spread and grow whilst on treatment ( I’m on immunotherapy) but 10mm in 3 months seems a bit extreme
I didn’t reply yesterday as I was hoping someone in the same situation might have had some experience to share with you, but hopefully they might come along and post today. I’ve not been on immunotherapy myself, nor the chemo cocktail.
While it’s positive that the existing nodules are stable, it does seem odd that the 10mm nodule wasn’t mentioned before-especially as you were told about the smaller ones. Have you spoken to your consultant about it? Have they mentioned pseudo progression to you as a possible explanation? I can understand you wanting a bit more information.
I hope you’re coping ok with the immunotherapy.
Sarah xx
I have an appointment next Wednesday with the consultant so I suppose I will stress until then! Immunotherapy is great no side effects and I feel like I have my old life back. Thank you for replying Sarah xx
