Hello
I’ve used this forum when I was first diagnosed but never added to it.
I was diagnosed with stage 1b1 cervical cancer in March 25 which was removed via radical trachelectomy in May 2025. Very good margins and 23 lymph nodes removed were all negative. No further treatment was required. My life just started to get back to normal and was feeling great.
On my 4 month post op check up the Doctor noticed the cuff hadn’t healed as expected and took two biopsies and pulled in the 6 month MRI.
Got the results back, the biopsies were clear however the mri showed a 3 cm left pelvic lymph node. They are saying cancer until proven otherwise. I am now waiting on a pet scan to confirm it has returned. Has anyone else been in this situation?
Hi Seaview8986ee6d and welcome to our group.
I’m sorry to read you have a suspicious lymph node discovered now and the worry that will be causing you.
I’m not aware of anyone in the group who has had a radical trachelectomy for stage 1b, as most ladies have been treated with a hysterectomy and/or chemoradiation, but there may be someone looking in who will be able to add their experience on reading your post.
I’m sorry I don’t have the experience to help you with any advice, as I had completely different treatment and surgery, but I just wanted to say hello and hope you might get some further replies.
I hope too that you’ll let us know what the plan is following your petscan, and that you won’t have too long to wait to find out more.
Sarah xx
