Hello Ladies

A new week is about to start, so I’d like to wish everyone all the best for another week of treatment.

I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone! You are all doing what you need to do, so keep going, and let us know how you’re all getting on. Please shout out if you’re having any side effects, and make sure to tell your team about anything.

Good luck with everything this week ladies! xxx

  • Thank you.  Been wipped all week but finally eating a little so enjoying my first meal all month. Hope you have a fabulous week

  • It’s tough going, but glad you are able to enjoy a meal at last. Little and often worked for me when I couldn’t face eating a proper meal. Kissing heart

  • Thankyou Sarah

I have other problems looming. I have to give my car up as I can't afford to pay it on benefits.Sob but I've family I can rely on for lifts to and from hospital. I just need to focus on getting better and beating this! Anything else is irrelevant. Thanks for your words of encouragement, they do go a long way xx

  • Oh Angela, that’s so sad you have to give up your car. What a blow for you, and your independence. The cost of everything is just outrageous these days and it must be very difficult especially on benefits. But yes, focus on treatment for now, and it’s good you’ve got family to give you lifts for that. Hope your week goes as smoothly as it can for you. xx

  • Oh sarah I earned a decent wage whilst working so I could afford a nice lifestyle so it's just 1 more hurdle I have to overcome. I'm trying hard to rise above it and concentrate on getting well. I'm actually lucky enough that I could walk to the hospital. Maybe 45 mins? But onwards and upwards Muscle xx

  • It’s very frustrating to be stuck in a situation like this, especially when you used to earn decent money. So did I back in the day, but I wouldn’t be able to cope with a job now. Not entitled to benefits either, so I’m glad I had a pension when I was working-now I’ve had to cash it in, but I’m grateful for it. I think as your treatment goes on, a walk like that might be very tough, and you’ll be glad of the lifts, but you’ve got such an impressive attitude, honestly! xx

  • Thankyou Sarah

I usually have a " get up and do it" attitude , so I'll try to be as independent as possible but I'll listen to my body and ask for help when needed. Your kind words continue to inspire me .

    Xx

  • Your attitude will be such a bonus going through treatment. I was much the same-get up and get on with it! But do be sure to ask for help when you need it. I’m sure friends and family will want to do all they can for you. xx

  • Thanks Sarah,  off to the hotel again today for three days early starts, so thank you for your boost for the beginning of the new week.  You have a good week also.   xxx

  • Oh I'm so sorry you're struggling with expenses Angela.  My work have been so good that I'm not at that stage yet but I definitely will need to go down the benefits route further down the line I think, but thankfully not yet.  Luckily I had masses of holiday and sick saved up which is keeping me ticking over for now.  Good luck this week, first Chemo!  It can be a very relaxing day!  xxx
