Hello Ladies
A new week is about to start, so I’d like to wish everyone all the best for another week of treatment. Big bang theory Snobird Scared mom
I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone! You are all doing what you need to do, so keep going, and let us know how you’re all getting on. Please shout out if you’re having any side effects, and make sure to tell your team about anything.
Good luck with everything this week ladies! xxx
Glad your work is being helpful Julie. Finances can a huge worry when you’re already dealing with cancer. I was crying on the phone at one stage when the health board decided in their wisdom that I couldn’t prove I was British and told me they were going to invoice me for all my treatment! Thought I was going to lose my house! My MP got involved and sorted that one out but it was unbelievably stressful for a few days when I wasn’t well.
It’s lovely you are able to stay in the hotel and avoid travelling for early starts-that must be so helpful. Hope you have a good week-on the home stretch now for you down to the finish line. xxx
Julie I will overcome this. I'm seeing it as a hiccup lol..and thanks for your kind words also. I'm looking forward to starting chemo so that it's another unknown out of the way! Good luck to us all for this new week
xx️
Yes, it's great to get that first Chemo under your belt and I'll be thinking of you xxx
It’s all like a bad dream now thankfully! Things you can deal with normally and rationally can become massive issues when you have dealing with cancer as your first priority though! xxx
Once you get that first chemo done you’ll know what to except Angela. My nurses were so lovely and caring on the unit. So patient trying to get cannulas in and dealing with IV pumps beeping all over the place! I would have been ok with having more relaxing days there. xx
Quick question Sarah. I'm reading on other threads about the importance of your temperature with chemo? I'm wondering if I shud invest in a hand held thermometer?
Thanks xx
Good point Angela. I bought one as we didn’t have one, and I took my temperature regularly, every day in fact! It’s a good investment as they will want you to phone up if you have a temperature spike. xx
Thanks Sarah just popped into boots..they just the small digital 1s but I grabbed it anyways xx
Yep-I just got one from the local pharmacy, a little digital one, and it did the job! xx
