Days and weeks following LLETZ and biopsy

Hello Moneypenny it's me again! Did the hospital give you the phone number of a clinical nurse specialist you could call? I had one and it was very useful when I had questions about my recovery although I sometimes had to leave a phone message. It took 5 weeks for me to stop bleeding. After the lletz they cauterise the wound so sometimes it takes a few days for your body to heal from this and you may smell a bit burnt!! Also a scab comes away once you start to heal. However there is a risk of infection after lletz so it would be wise to contact the hospital or your GP if you think that you have one. I hope this helps ! Ax

Thanks you so much again JaneAustenfan, the hospital gave me a letter and I think I'm going to give them a call later.  What did start off as discharge that they said I would get, is now really heavy bleeding that I didn't expect and it's not mentioned on the letter.  I haven't got a high temperature although I do have a really bad headache that I can shake off, I'll ring them just for piece of mind if nothing else.
