Hello,
I just wanted to say hello as it's been a really long time since I have written on here, although I regularly read other people's posts and your answers Sarah, as I find you so reassuring and helpful.
I am going through my six monthly check ups again, although they are fairly far apart as in Italy everything stops in August!
So far so good, so fingers crossed. I had my surgery in Sept 2022 and finished chemorad in December 2022. Got back to work and almost "normal" life after a year or so. Now I still worry about recurrence but I think about it less and less.
I wanted to send a big virtual hug to everyone and wish you all the best.
Lots of love from Lulabell in Italy
Hi Lulabell
It’s so nice to hear from you again! I understand why people can want to move on and not post any more but it’s always lovely to see a familiar name pop up.
It’s good also to see everything is going well for you, so I hope that continues with your next check up. Worries about recurrence will hopefully recede as time goes on for you. Most recurrences happen within the first two years after treatment finishes so the more time goes by, the easier things can become. Getting on with life is the most important thing!
Sarah xx
