It has been a month since I have had brachytherapy and now using dilators does anyone have any side effects .
Hello Scotia, I started using it 6/7 weeks after Brachytherapy but had only ever used the smallest one because there was no way the others were going to fit! It irritated my bladder so gave up after a while. The Consultant said it was not a problem only been able to use the smallest and so far it hasn't been an issue when I've been to my appointments.

Although I perservered with dilators for well over a year I never got past the second smallest one. Eventually I changed to using a silicone vibrator which was about the same size as the dilator that best suited me. I found the vibrator much more comfortable to use as it's not hard and cold like the dilator. I got my vibrator from JoDivine which is a great website as it has some very helpful information and tips on it - see following link: https://www.jodivine.com/
