Hello,
I’m new to this forum and recently diagnosed in May with secondary breast cancer (spread to lungs and lymph nodes). I’ve no history of cancer before this and found out after getting a chronic cough I had for over two months checked out. I’m still dealing with the shock of the speed of this and am terrified if I’m honest. I can’t begin to comprehend how quickly it has spread, especially as most people appear to have had some kind of primary breast cancer diagnosis years before developing secondary cancer (atleast that’s how it feels, that might be more my perception) I’ve recently been put on ribociclib and letrozole so coming to terms with the new normal. Anyway, just saying hello for the moment x
My experience is very like yours in that I had a bad cough which gave me pain in my shoulder. After 10 months of anti inflammatories an x-ray showed a tumour in my shoulder. After all the tests & biopsy I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the beginning of the year - there’s no evidence anywhere else. I’m nearly through my 6 cycles of chemo & my latest CT scan showed the tumour has decreased & still nothing anywhere else.
Anyway - hello from me!!
Hi there! So sorry to hear your experience but I’m very pleased it hasn’t spread further and has shrunk. Long may that continue and it also gives me a bit of hope this afternoon :)
