This week I've been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer to my brain.
I start radio therapy tomorrow. I'm struggling with the no knowing what life will be like as nothing has been suggested yet.
The radio therapy is going to hit me hard apparently, won't great last time but as long as it does the job , I'll take whatever is on offer and make the best of it some how. Xx
Hi Pon and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
How did your first radiotherapy session go? Hopefully you were given the chance to ask your question about what your life will be like while having and after having radiotherapy.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and have had a lumpectomy and chemotherapy. I start 10 sessions of radiotherapy next week, so a little apprehensive about that.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Thank you for your reply. I hope your treatment is going well.
I've now had 3 radio sessions, they have been straight forward and the main side effects will be fatigue and brain fog. But I've struggled with both during my other treatment.
I hope your treatment is going well
Glad to read that your first 3 radiotherapy sessions have gone well Pon
My surgery and chemotherapy didn't cause any problems so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that radiotherapy will be the same.

Will do

Hi Pon
I finished my radiotherapy a few days ago.
I have been told that it keeps working for 7-10 days after finishing so side effects might still happen. So far I think I've got off lightly with just a slightly itchy rash on the breast that's been treated. They've given me a cream to apply to the rash and hopefully that will do the trick! I haven't suffered from fatigue so hoping that I won't.
