Hi I have joined the group to discuss things with people who are in a similar predicament to me. If you read my profile you can see where I am up to with my secondary diagnosis. I am very positive and upbeat about things and I try to take each day as it comes. Main thing at the moment is really bad pain in my chest on the right side think I may have spontaneously fractured a rib. I am a nurse so am always diagnosing myself. Has this happened to anyone else? On denosumab injections monthly.

  • Hi again

I'm sorry that no one has replied to your post yet after I suggested that you join this group. It could be that no one else has experienced what you are describing or, more likely, that they just haven't seen your post yet.

While you're waiting for replies you could use the search facility in this group to look for previous posts on this topic or use the ask a nurse section and one of the specialist nurses will respond within 2 working days.

I'm also going to tag this group's Community Champions and into my reply as they might be able to help you further.

  • Hi Floods020602

Just thought I would respond and say Hi.  We need positive people on here to give us all a lift.

My profile will also tell you about me as well. May not be in the same situation as you but am on the secondary list and incurable bucket.

The secondary room seem to be a bit 'busier' than the bone room and hoping you will get some responses to your question/s.

Maybe that you need to change the title of you post to catch a bit of attention.

Good luck on your journey and keep posting.

    Lyn x

Hi i’m a little similar to you but we all seem to have bespoke plans don't we, I’m surely rooting for you, I remain calm & upbeat mostly too, think you have too try when you are up to it. My BC spread to Lymph nodes, Liver and then this year Chest Wall & Bones, I do feel blessed that I don’t feel too bad most of the time but seem to be getting more fatigued and aches & pains than ever, keep trusting in my wonderful Oncology team and take each day as it comes, this is a great forum for support and advice, hope you get help you need, we are all here for you.

    Hi Floods020602

i have recently been diagnosed 4 weeks ago with bone mets in ribs with pathological fractures, back, sternum etc which stems from lobular breast cancer which after numourouse test and mamagrams which have been negative they took a biopsy only last week. I have my first appointment with oncology tomorrow. On the outside to everyone else I am putting a brave face on things, trying to be positive but as the time is approaching to my first oncology appointment i am getting scared as to what they will tell me. It has been a whirlwind over the past month with tests etc?  I  have 2 daughters 27 & 21 and am worried for them.We lost my husband their father to cancer 8 years ago and it still affects them. I was interested to know what treatment they have given you since your diagnosis I was informed at the breast clinic when I had my diagnosis that I would not be getting chemo and he could not answer anything else I had to wait to see oncologist. I am still working full time and intend to carry on for my own sanity.
