I am about to have my first monthly injection on Monday of Faslodex has anyone had this. How were you?  Also, Abemaciclib tablet daily from next week, anyone else on it?  May not have spelt it correctly though. I have been given a long list of side effects and I know everyone is different but worried about them.

Me again,  I have just been searching on Faslodex and Abemaciclib and noticed info in this group. I had posted this in secondary bone cancer first but just moved it over. My oncologist said she was giving me Faslodex to increase the density of my bones and the Abe. To target the cancer. Not sure now.  I welcome any input.

    Hi

There are two of us in discussion about Abemaciclib on this secondaries from breast cancer part of website which you might find helpful, it has more details re side effects.

The Abemaciclib can give diarrhoea as a side effect, my friend, a GP recommended a low FODMAP  diet, which I have found helpful. But may need ensure adequate calcium intake. My Oncologyteam approved it.

I have Fulvesrant monthly, one injection  each upper buttock, then Denosumab in tummy. I have found it good to ensure that I transfer weight off the buttock  being injected and giving it a good rub before and after. The weight transfer makes a big difference as it relaxes the muscle..I didn't do this first time and it made a difference.

If you check you'll find my post about starting Abemaciclib and coping with side effects. I just had encouraging news, the secondary spinal mets are not showing on PET scan, very happy with Abemaciclib.

    Very best wishes

Very best wishes, I hope all goes well

It's good to remember that there are excellent new drugs coming through, hang on and just keep paddling (as my fab breast surgeon would say)

    Good luck Andyv
