Hi,

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same as me whilst taking ibrance. I have found that during the week I don't take ibrance I feel extremely tired, lethargic and generally all over the place. My husband works away during the week and wasn't here last time but can't believe the difference in me. I have only completed 2 courses up to now so I'm wondering is it just a coincidence or does anyone else have this on their week off? x

I believe the week off is to give your neutrophils a chance to pick back up before restarting Ibrance.     It seems likely therefore that you are at your lowest ebb as you start your week off.    during this week as the bone marrow produces more white cells you should begin to feel a lot better.     In my case quite often I need 2 weeks to pick back up, but on the other hand despite a few dose drops I am pleased the treatment is keeping my cancer stable for the time being.    Stick with it and you will adjust to it - perhaps by taking things easy at the start of your off week.    Hope this treatment works well for you - your next scan should show this.  x

Thank you, I spoke to a nurse at the hospital today and she said it was fairly common, they call it chemo fog. I can live with it, I think once you know it's " normal" it's fine x
