Recently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer 12 years after mastectomy.
Metastatis in most bones and now been told I need a bone biopsy to find out if Her2 positive or not.
Have tried asking oncology registrar questions but English is not his first language so very difficult to understand what he is saying.
Please don't think I'm racist. Just frightened
HI
I am just popping on here as I see you haven't had a reply. (I've not got secondaries, so can't give any advice personally).
Here is a link to information from Macmillan which may be of use to you.
What questions did you have? The ladies on here may be able to help you some more if you ask here the questions that you wanted to know from the oncology registrar.
The other alternative is to perhaps give your breast care nurse a ring and if she doesn't know the answers she might ask the registrar and get back to you. I totally understand how frustrating it is not being able to understand what he is saying - mine was Spanish and I struggled with what he was saying. We'd be lost in the NHS without people from other countries, but it doesn't help when their accents are so thick does it?
Kindest wishes,
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
