hi,
i was diagnosed in Jan with Bc mets in spine and femur. Recently had PET/ CT , CT and MRI. Was told hotshot on thyroid showing but that all other areas show good response to treatment (palbociclib and letrozole).
Saw thyroid specialist last week who arranged for ultrasound needle biopsy. That’s tomorrow. Feeling quite scared. Both of the biopsy and of what it means to have hotspot in thyroid. Does this mean bc has gone into thyroid or that thyroid is a supplemental cancer with no link? Anyone had same?
Thank you
Hi
I'm afraid I can't answer your questions but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. This could be because no one in this group has had this experience or just that the right person hasn't seen your post. By replying it will bump your post back to the top of the page where it'll be seen again. I'm also tagging the Community Champions that look after this group and GRANNY59 in case they can add anything.
I hope the biopsy yesterday wasn't as scary as you'd feared and also that they were able to answer your questions. If not you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist cancer nurses will aim to respond within 2 working days.
Wishing you all the best
x
