Hi I hope someone can help me in what to do or say to my doctor I'm so confused
I have metastatic breast cancer n due to start my chemotherapy next week (new cancer in supracavicular area left arm)
On Friday morning i woke up unable to move my left arm I called my breast nurse n was avised to go 2 A&E I was admitted in2 hospital 4 them to observe me I had a xray done n was told it was clear no broken bones n they discharged me today (sunday) doctors told me they want a MRI scan done on Wednesday to look at my nerves on my discharge letter it states suspected needs investigation for brachial plexus n peripheral nerve injury dose anyone know if this is connected to the cancer or another issue added on I'm worried sick I had no explanation from ward doctors
Thank u
Hi
I am sorry that the ward doctors did not explain what the issue is, that does not help you.
Could you ring and ask your Breast Care Nurse later today if she understands the letter?
If she has a work email address, could you scan the letter on phone and send her a copy? It is possible to get a free i scanner on the Apple App Store , or maybe similar Apps for other phones.
You could also ring the Macmillan Helpline and see if they can give some information about the Hospital letter.
There is a thread called Awake on the Breast Cancer Group. It helps if you have problems sleeping, like me
sending you a hug
