Hi, I’ve been diagnosed on Friday with a 4cm liver met and multiple lung mets but there all under 1cm. I only went to the doctor cos my hip had been hurting had ct on Tuesday and was told Friday Frowning2️ I’m due to start palbociclib on Friday if my bloods are ok. I’ve had an injection in my tummy already think it was zoladex.

I honestly don’t know if I’m coming or going. Has anyone had any experience with this

  • Hi

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with liver and lung mets and I'm not surprised that you feel all over the place. It's good that you're starting treatment on Friday. I haven't had this treatment but noticed that your post had gone unanswered.

If you type the name of the drugs into the search bar in this group you could look for older posts that discuss this treatment. Alternatively you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist cancer nurses will respond within 2 working days.

    Wishing you all the best

    Hi Lou81

Sorry you're here with SBC, but hopefully you'll meet lots of people and make new friends.

I was dx with bone Mets at Christmas 2017 and was put on palbociclib with letrozole, zoladex injections and a bone strengthener. It kept me stable for about 10 months when there was some progression in one lesson which was treated successfully with cyberknife.

I found palbo/letrozole very manageable and continued working part time, walking my dogs, horse riding and yoga, on top of the usually parenting and home making duties which fall on my shoulders.

Hope you get sorted soon x
