Hi All

I've just joined this group today... as desperate and in the darkest place I have ever been... having conquered TNBC with chemo July - November last year, lumpectomy December, Radiotherapy in March this year and what I thought was a pulled muscle under my right breast showed on a scan as secondary breast cancer in both my lungs... and I'm devastated... help anyone?? xx

    Hey

I'm so sorry to hear about your secondary cancer diagnosis, it was heartbreaking reading this, so my heart goes out to you. There is two sides to look at this though, one side is the fact that you got through all of that, and did it with bravery and you were a superstar for doing so, and it's so horrible that its come back. And the other side is that you did get through all of that, so you know you can get through this too.

Heres some Macmillan information about Lung cancer and theres also a video from an Oncologist that you might find useful too.

But right now, keep focused on you, and what you need the most. Your health is the most important thing, especially right now. I hope you have many people to support you through this.

Do you have a plan of action treatment wise yet? Hopefully when you do you can start thinking about fighting this for another time. You will always have all of our support, and come here, or the breast group which I'm usually about In, for any help you need, questions, or if you just want to vent and tell us how you really feel, we will always be here to listen, and give you anything you need either way. You are such a strong and amazing woman, who has kicked cancers butt once, so keep thinking that. And remember, we are always here for you.

Lots of love, hugs and healing,

    Alex xxx

So sorry to hear your news and that it has come so soon after your primary cancer. Your body will still be recovering from the first treatments and now you have another battle.  But hopefully the fact it has been picked up so soon may mean better treatment options and outcomes.

Try to make the most of the good days and keep thinking of those through the bad ones. I have just had a bit of a knock back in my treatment that came as a shock having developed another primary breast cancer on top of the secondaries. I still expect to be around for some time but I am fitting in as much time with family as I can.

Remember we all have our down days and with good reason but so long as tomorrow keeps turning up there are opportunities for good times.

    Take care and good luck
