Hi. I was diagnosed de novo in November 2023. Bone mets in spine, ribs, sternum and another few dotted about   Had 13 treatments of Ribociclib,  letrozole and Denosumab. Just got my latest scan results and it's spread to my liver. Devastated.  Thought 1st line would last longer. It feels like I've just had a new diagnosis all over again.

To go to my cancer hospital this afternoon for a blood test and to discuss change of treatment. I'm scared. Anyone had a similar journey?

Thank you

  • Hi I  was diagnosed in October 2022 with Mets in spine, pelvis and Liver. I've been on Ribociclib, Letrozole and Denosumab since and touch wood have stayed stable. I know it's worrying when you hear your liver is involved just follow the treatment plan and listen to your body. Good luck x

  • Thanks.  Starting Capecitabine in a few weeks once DPD bloods come back.  Currently on steroids for inflamed liver

  • Meant to say, new lesion on each breast. How often do ER/HER2 statuses change? Should I request a new biopsy? (despite how awful the first one was) Could the ribo and letrozole have stopped working because those receptors have changed?
