So I recently had CT scan, bone scan x ray and MRI. Oncologist said something had shown up in my right femur that wasn't there before and given my history it was a worry.
I had my appointment yesterday MRI results weren't back but they had looked at them and weren't sure, if anything not overly concerned. They want another MRI done in three months and today I received an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon.
I'm just really confused, the initial call from my oncologist made me panic and it's all I have thought of. Yesterday's appointment with a different doctor wasn't reassuring but there seemed less urgency and next planned appointment is 31st December telephone call. It has left me feeling in limbo. I understand if they don't know they can't tell me but now to receive an appointment with orthopedic surgeon??
My experiences have always been worse case scenario, nothing has ever been as simple as it could have been and I'm used to plans changing and adapting. Should I worry cancer has spread, has it not or is it something I haven't even considered??
Hi Lfc74
Do you have a cancer nurse specialist (CNS) you could speak to as being left confused and worried after your appointment is not a good place to be?
((hugs))
I rang and left a message but no response yet. I haven't seen the nurse at all this year.
Suppose I will just have to wait and see.
Thanks for taking time to reply xx
Hopefully she'll be able to call you back on Monday.
