Hi there
Has anyone gone on to develop secondary or metastatic breast cancer in the form of skin cancer and, if so, how did it develop, how quickly and what are the treatment options and outlook?
Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences.
Hi smore,
I don't have any experience in skin metastases, but there is some useful information here: https://breastcancernow.org/about-breast-cancer/secondary-breast-cancer/secondary-breast-cancer-treatment/secondary-metastatic-breast-cancer-in-the-skin/
Cheers,
Andy
Hi,
Yes I have unfortunately developed metastatic breast cancer in the skin. It first appeared on the site of my mastectomy about two years after the op. It looks like a dry red rash and I had no idea what it was at first. My consultant put me on eribulin which worked for a whole bit has now stopped and the rash has appeared in a few other places now. I'm just waiting to find out what's next.
Has the same thing happened to you? Where are you up to with it? X
