Hi secondary sisters
i found out just before Christmas that I now have secondary breast cancer on numerous sites in my back and pelvis. Treatment plan discussed with my oncologist yesterday is Capecitabine 2 weeks on one week off and denosumb every 3 weeks.
Anyone experience of this combination? Concerned that Capecitabine seems to be a form of chemotherapy. My previous experience of chemotherapy was awful
Hi Daisy,
My wife was on this combo for a while. Only real side effect was hand/foot syndrome which can get quite bad. Make sure you've hot plenty of moisturiser handy. Other than that she found it very tolerable.
Cheers,
Andy
