Hello, I am struggling a lot. I was diagnosed with secondary metastatic breast cancer where it had spread to the bottom of my spine. I was given radiotherapy in December 2020 after having been diagnosed in October. I consider myself to have a brain tumour but that is not being diagnosed. I have all the symptoms of one. I am struggling in every possible way. I have experienced bullying from the oncology team and complete denial. I know.they are bluffing.when.they say everything is fine as it is not. I have severe muscle spasms on my face, memory problems and cognitive issues. I've had a brain scan and I believe it showed problems which are being.misread. I am quickly.deteriorating. After blood tests are taken they don't discuss them with me. They say everything is fine. I am being denied the truth and this is jeopardising my treatment.

  • Hi

I'm really sorry to read everything you're going through, and it must be incredibly frustrating to feel that you're not being listened to and not being told the truth.

I think that your best bet would be to speak to PALS (Patient Advise and Liaison Service) at your hospital as they can help resolve problems you have when using the NHS. I would suggest that you contact them first thing Monday morning for their help.

When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
