Hello I’m Fran and I’ve found out today I’ve got mets in my spine c8 and t1 . I’ve no idea of the plan. I’ve had bc twice before so I know the drill . I was hoping it would never come back but it has and I’ve to deal with it.
the drs have fobbed me off for weeks saying it was a trapped nerve . I’ve got an appointment on Monday with oncology and I will know more then. But just wanted to hear some positive stories if anyone has any?
thanks
Fran
Hi Fran.
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was diagnosed straight to secondary In March this year. I have it in spine, ribs, liver and lung. I was started straight on hormone therapy Ribociclib, letrozole and zoladex. I also have Denosaumaub every 4 weeks which is a bone strengthener.
My first scan in May showed a partial response to treatment and the tumours were starting to shrink. I am ER+, do you know what type you are?
Good luck with your appointment on Monday, there are lots of available treatments nowadays and I'm sure you will feel better once you have a plan in place.
Try and take one day at a time and dont use Google as it's out of date. The positive stories thread in the chat section is worth reading.
