Had a recent investigation in my colon last week.. had a phone call yesterday to tell me I have breast cancer in my colon and would refer me back to my oncologist.
Somewhat shocked still haven't processed it.. I thought it was IBS crohns at worse...
Hi Sambob
I'm really sorry to read that you've just discovered that your breast cancer has spread to your colon and I can completely understand how shocked you must be feeling.
I don't know what treatment you will be having but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. While you're waiting you could try typing 'colon' into the search bar in the group to see if there are any previous posts which mention it.
Sending you a virtual ((hug))
To be honest only have to wait until this Wednesday to see my oncologist. But what I have read it doesn't seem to be a normal place that it spreads.. just like my cancer to go on holiday somewhere different.
The hardest bit is not telling my family until I know what the plan is.. just don't want them worrying themselves sick waiting for what is going to be done next.
Fingers crossed they give me a treatment to kick this cancer off track and gone for a few years longer..
I'll be keeping everything crossed for you on Wednesday.
I hope you're in positive spirits and that you got good news. I hope you don't mind me commenting after a month. Yesterday I learnt that I probably have breast cancer in the ovaries as well as the breast. It's another one that seems not as common, so there is less information about. I know what you mean about telling loved ones when there's so much uncertainty. I'm wishing you all the best.
Hello
Yes things going ok.. started treatment two weeks ago..heading for treatment today..
So far so good liver function and kidneys ok.. blood 1.6 so able to have treatment today..
Can't say it's the most pleasurable treatment and the injections are dam painful or where last time.. I don't have much meat on me and having injections in the top of the arse apparently isn't one f the bucket list of go back to..
Fingers crossed this works and stops it progressing and give me more time.before I hit.the chemio trail again..
Or if lucky.like some it reduces... here's hoping.
I must admit I have had no one come back to me.saying they have had this..
And to be honest I have never heard of breast cancer in the ovaries.. nice to be different ah..
Left me know how you go...good luck
